The Obligatory Arcade Gatcha Show-off Post
The Arcade Gatcha has been open for a week today, and my gatcha fever is fading away. I just have to complete the Tee*fy set and I will probably try to get at least one of the Tableau Vivant backpack rares. All the rares in today’s photo except the hair and the dollhouse are courtesy of the love and dedication of Sal. It was only fitting that he be in the photo today with the rare cupcake from Half Deer on his head. LOL <3

Do Whatcha Wanna
Its Mardi Gras season and for this post we went to Barrio Francés de Nueva Orleans. Going to the Mardi Gras parades every year is one of very few fond memories I have of my time in Louisiana. The title of this post is my all time fav Mardi Gras song, which you can hear at the end of the post.

What Christmas Means To Me
We’re getting closer and closer to the big day. But its not as exciting as it used to be when I was a kid. But I still love the whole feeling of the season. To me its not Christmas until I’ve gone back home to NYC to do some holiday shopping. I love the crowds and the Christmas window displays. I decided to take pics at Santa’s Workshop. Its reminds me of Christmas City in Bethlehem, PA which was also on the holiday to do list growing up.
But Christmas is supposed to be the season of giving, so today I’ve got a few goodies from an event that is an example of the community giving back to one of their own.

Livin’ My Life
Its that time of year where there are holiday parties and various festivities. Its been a long time since I’ve attended a Holiday party in SL, but if we do decide to be sociable this year. I will have the perfect thing to wear. coldLogic recently released 6 holiday party dressing is all colors and styles. Styles ranging from stuffy cocktail party to raging clubbing all night long. I’m wearing the Holly dress which has just a hint of sequins to make it fancier than a church dress, but not overly done. Truth’s Moxie hair I think goes perfect for the party all night look.
Two other goodies: The Dressing Room is back but redone. Now instead of 2 dressing rooms there is one. The Dressing Room Fusion opened last Friday and I have to say I am impressed. This rounds guest is Slink and they have the Vanity Boot in 3 colors (red, black and tan) for L$70 each. Now you know you almost never get boots for a well known store at this price in black or any other basic color. Usually its some crazy color you may or may not wear and you have to go to store and pay full price for white, black or any other popular color. These boots are a definate steal and they are same quality we are accustomed to from SLink.
Next from Collabor88 I have the Madame Midnight purse from Maxi Gossamer. I am excited to see her breaking into doing other accessories. The Madame Midnight purse comes in Velvet and Sequined versions with hand and shoulder attachment points both left and right.

Live To Tell
So, I got on the whole LOGO partial mesh avatar bandwagon thing, and after one photo shoot. I want my face back. I think its nice to play around with for something different. But this is NOT Lourdes. I like playing around the different options. Things I don’t like: I don’t like the skin that comes with it. I don’t like the 2 darker skin tones, the face looks ashy. I don’t like the eye choices. I’d rather use my own mesh eyes. The blush choices are only suited to the 3 lighter skin tones. They do not compliment the 2 darker skin tones at all unless you want to look like a clown. I will say the same about the eye-shadows also. The lipsticks have enough selection to compliment all skin tones. I wore the almond because it looks the best with the make-up choices available without looking like I dipped my face in flour.
Also mark your calendars this is the first time, in awhile, I’ve been able to blog something the day after release!! My fav store coldLogic had a new release yesterday with items to good mix or match for a casual or business look. I have to say the Taylor shirt is my fav in this release. I paired it with the Bradley skirt for a nice conservative business look.
